8 Things You Must Do to Prevail (Succeed) in 2016 - Rev Kunle Salami

8 Things You Must Do to Prevail (Succeed) in 2016

On the 3rd of January, 2016, at Chapel of His Glory, Glory Land, Opposite School of Nursing, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state, Nigeria, Rev (Dr) Kunle Salami, in his first Sunday sermon for this year shared 8 Things You Must Do to Prevail this year. I hope to convey the message as best as possible. I'm sure you'll be blessed even as I'm. Enjoy.

1. LIVE YOUR LIFE ACCORDING TO DIVINE PRINCIPLES: Here, he stressed that you can't just do things because others are doing it. No way! You must follow Divine principles; Biblical principles.
To be successful this year, you must locate what God wants you to do and do it. John 2:5. Let's go to the second one.

2. TURN OVERWHELMING SITUATIONS INTO PRAYER: Simply put, turn everything to God in prayer. The situation might overwhelm you but it cannot overwhelm your God. 2 Chronicles 14:11-12, Jeremiah 33:3. To the third now.

3. REFUSE TO WALK BY SIGHT: As Christians, we walk by faith but not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Our sights are limited but our faith has limitless probabilities.
God called those things that were not as if they were. That's the power of faith. Check Romans 4:17 for that. With faith, you can move mountains. The next one now.

4. RELEASE THE POWER OF THE BLESSING: When you wake up in the morning and every time, bless yourself, your family, your friends, the Church, the nation, etc. Confess positive things.
In Israel, till today, they still bless themselves with Numbers 6:24-26. No wonder, God blesses them even uptill now. Release, the power of the blessing.

5. LET GOD'S THOUGHT BE YOUR THOUGHTS: I love this one personally because I'm writing something similar in my book; I HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE.

As a man thinketh in his heart so is he. Only through the study of the Word of God can you know His thought. Don't allow anything or anybody or even you to confuse you.
God's thought for you is that of peace and not of evil, to give you a future with hope. Jeremial 20:11.
He advised us to read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation at least once in a year. The church practises this by reading Four chapters and One chapter of the Old and New Testament respectively per day.

Because of time, he could not give us the remaining three. You want them too right? Me too.

Well, let's make use of the Five above for now and I'm sure this year would be glorious. It's glorious already.

We're just moving from glory to glory.

Have a wonderful Year.
